This animation is a homage to Lotte Reiniger's Adventures of prince Achmed, with archetypal folk characters appearing in this original animation. Early silhouette animaitons were made by hand using cutouts. And despite what the disney Corporation would have you believe, Reiniger employed the first use of a multiplane camera in a feature length animation. The Sons of the King was completed for my BA degree and is my first exploration into digital animation and how I chose to adapt Reinigers early methods.
